Catching Camille Closer Live: A Rising Force in Alternative Rock
We had the chance to catch Camille Closer live at the House of Blues Foundation Room, where she opened for Zenji and from the moment we stepped in, the energy was magnetic. The crowd was chill but focused. Everyone was there to listen. And Camille absolutely delivered.
Blending alternative rock, pop rock, and indie rock, Camille brings a fresh sound that feels both nostalgic and new. Her fun and expressive personality shines through every song, creating a performance that feels authentic and alive.
Not only is Camille a powerful performer she’s also an amazing songwriter. The lyrics are personal, poetic, and raw in the best way, and the melodies she creates are equally impressive catchy without ever feeling forced. Her ability to balance emotional depth with high-energy rock makes her music something special.
That night, she performed fan favorites like “Overthinking” and “Religious Vision”, both of which hit even harder live. She also gave us a preview of some exciting unreleased songs that we’re seriously looking forward to. Camille doesn’t just perform she creates a space where the crowd can connect, have fun, and rock out.
One of the best parts of her set is the way she shares personal stories behind her music. A standout moment was hearing her talk about her grandma listening to one of her songs and thanking her about bringing “the people back to the church”—funny & heartfelt. We won’t spoil it you’ve got to experience that moment at one of her shows.
And let’s talk about style Camille has everything a rockstar would. At the Foundation Room, she wore a black blazer over a sequined black top, and the whole look was effortlessly cool, totally matching her vibe. Her style is super rad, bold, and consistent with the sound and attitude she brings to the stage.
Her band brings that same electricity. On bass is Josh Campbell [@liljeesh10], and on lead guitar at the House of Blues show was Angel Guerra [@altered_entertainment], whose tone and presence perfectly complement Camille’s vocals. On drums was Analise Dacy [@rhythm_junk] brought a tight, energetic groove that kept the crowd moving. The chemistry between them all is undeniable they’re clearly having fun, and that joy spreads to everyone watching.
We highly encourage everyone to go check out Camille Closer [@camille.closer] if you get the chance. Her music has been on repeat for us. We haven’t stopped listening to “Overthinking” and “Religious Vision” since the show. Camille is one of those artists you’ll be proud to say you saw before the rest of the world caught on.
